Flowerfield Arts Centre is a vibrant hub of creativity, welcoming visitors to world-class exhibitions, live music, theatre, film screenings, workshops, and community events. Behind the scenes, it takes a dedicated and organised team to ensure everything runs seamlessly — and now, we’re looking for an Operations Officer to play a key role in making that happen.

About the Role

As Operations Officer, you’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day running of Flowerfield Arts Centre. This is a front facing, varied and hands-on role. You’ll ensure the building operates efficiently while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, artists, and staff.

Overseeing front-of-house standards, managing private hire events, supporting technical maintenance and installing exhibitions, every week is different and you’ll help ensure that every aspect of the centre runs to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing an efficient, professional, comprehensive customer focused service to the Arts Centre and to the general public,
  • Overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of the Arts Centre
  • Managing private hire business, customers and events
  • Managing the housekeeping team and assisting with staff rotas
  • Managing and administrating the general maintenance, operation systems and Health & safety within the venue
  • Co-ordinating and assisting with the installation and dismantling of exhibitions
  • Delivering a high standard of customer care across all front-of-house areas
  • Working in line with statutory and legislative requirements, ensuring good governance at all times
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all areas of work

  • Can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required
