Be part of the new public artwork for Flowerfield Art Centre and create your own artwork legacy with Fiona Shannon

Saturday 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29th June from 11am to 1pm

Free and open to all

The amazingly talented ceramicist Fiona Shannon has been commissioned to create a socially engaged and community inspired artwork for Flowerfield Arts Centre, which will be permanently installed outside the centre.

Using the theme Parklife, the idea is for the work to celebrate people who use the area to walk their dog, visit an exhibition, utilise the sensory play park, have a picnic or just to have a stroll through the grounds - basically your everyday Parklife! To realise this, Fiona will be holding 4, open ceramic workshops in Flowerfield, in which members of the public will create tiles for the finished piece.

These workshops are open to all ages and abilities and are free of charge.  The workshops will run on a drop in basis, so as many people as possible can partake, with each tile taking only 10 to 15 minutes to make. This is your chance to  create part of a permanent public artwork for Flowerfield and make your own piece of artistic legacy!

Workshops will be held on Saturday 1st June 11am to 1pm Saturday 8th June 11am to 1pmSaturday 22nd June 11am to 1pmSaturday 29th June 11am to 1pmAll workshops are free and open to all
