4 session creative mindfulness course for adults with Tree & Tide

Restore by Tree & Tide

Wednesday 27 January for 4 weeks, 7-7.30pm via zoom

In these shifting and untethered times, you are invited to come engage in a series of simple and proven practises to feel better, resource yourself for what your days might hold and replenish what may have been lost.

Deborah Mullan is an accredited Psychotherapist and Nature Therapy Guide living on the North Coast. She is passionate about helping people find ease in mind and body, equipping them to manage life and stress better.

Week 1- Body Meditation

During this session we will tune into the body and the breath, seeking ease and relaxation.

Week 2 - Mandalas

Mindful Drawing

During this session you will be invited to step away from many of your external demands and internal noise and check in with yourself. We’ll take some time to slow down and come into the present moment before guiding you through a simple drawing exercise for mindfulness and reflection.

You won’t be asked to share your work.

You’ll need paper, pages and some drawing tools: colouring pencils or pens, even just a biro is fine.

Week 3 - Trees

Mindful Drawing

During this session we will be using drawing prompts around the theme of ‘trees’ to connect to ourselves and aid self-reflection.

You won’t be asked to share your work.

You’ll need paper, pages and some drawing tools: colouring pencils or pens, even just a biro is fine.

Week 4 - Body Resourcing

During this session you will be guided through a body meditation, learning to recognise what can happen to our bodies when we are stressed and exploring ways we can resource ourselves to better manage such stress and anxiety.

Each session will take pace on Zoom from 7pm-7.30pm. You will be emailed the zoom link to join in prior to first session.

There is no pressure to have your video on or take an active part in the session;

you are invited to participate as you feel able and comfortable and take what you need.

This project is receiving financial support through Council’s Good Relations Programme. The purpose of the event / activity is to bring people together, using creative arts as a method of connecting people from different community and cultural backgrounds using shared spaces (whether online or in a specific location) so that we can build positive relations using the medium of the creative arts.]
